Gisburn Forest the Hub – Cafe – Bike Hire

The hub is just 2 miles from our site and provides fun for all the family. Bike hire is available if you do not have your own but fancy taking on one of the trials in the forest. There is always something for the kids too. A lovely little cafe where you can enjoy refreshments with a park for them to play on while you’re enjoying some lunch! Forest of Bowland

Right on our doorstep The Forest of Bowland also known as the Bowland Fells, is an area of barren gritstone fells, deep valleys and peat moorland, mostly in north-east Lancashire, England with a small part in North Yorkshire (before 1974, some of the area was in the West Riding of Yorkshire). Once described as the “Switzerland of England”, it has been designated an Area of Outstanding Natural Beauty (AONB) since 1964. Settle in the Yorkshire Dales

Nearby Settle is a bustling market town surrounded by delightful villages, ideally situated between the scenic Yorkshire Dales and the Area of Outstanding Natural Beauty that is the Forest of Bowland. Home to the famous Settle to Carlisle Railway it also has a wealth of interesting shops, welcoming cafes and historic buildings to visit, Settle and the surrounding district is a great place visit and to relax and enjoy the scenery. Alternatively its the perfect base to get out into the scenery and enjoy walking, riding, cycling, caving and a host of other outdoor activities. Gisburn Forest Bike Trails

Located in the North East corner of Lancashire and within the Forest of Bowland we offer fantastic mountain biking with beautiful views. Glide easily along mellow trail by Bottoms Beck, twist and shout through Park Wood, dance with your bike down Hully Gully or grit your teeth and rush down the Bigfoot slab – everyone should find something that will make them grin. There are many little villages and towns surrounding Tosside, each with a place to Dine. Settle and Clitheroe are both around 20 minute drive from our site with Sawley, Bolton by Bowland, Slaidburn, Long Preston and Wigglesworth are all within 5-10 minutes drive.
