What a wonderful find this site is! Just bliss.

I cannot thank Rebekah, Johnathan & Mark enough for the kind, warm and friendly welcome I received during my stay. I felt like I was staying next door to the best neighbours!

The site is surrounded by the most stunning scenery and all facilities offered are well maintained and spotless.

Thank you for such a relaxing and wonderful stay.
I would 100% recommended staying here and hope to be back again soon!

We stayed for two nights at the end of April – although the facilities were closed because of Covid – it didn’t take away from how lovely the site was.

Quiet and peaceful – owners were so helpful and kind.  Site is close to Gisburn for fantastic walks/bike rides.

Would definitely return in the future.

We stayed at Marl Barn for 2 weeks from 5-20 September.  We had an amazing time, facilities were clean and tidy with ample anti bacterial wipes for use in the toilets and shower/dishwashing area.
Rebekah was fantastic, making sure that ‘us campers’ were happy (happy campers) every evening, even after a long day at work she always came to see us all with a smile on her face.  The campsite is situated, as our friends said, on top of the world, so much to see for miles when the weather is clear and then when the mist falls it is breathtaking.  Marl Barn is a quiet site away from the hustle & bustle of daily life and gives you a chance to relax and unwind with the gentle noise of the sheep & lambs next door.  Once again Rebekah, thank you for everything.

Had a lovely peaceful couple of days thanks.
Have to say, the camp was lovely and tidy. And the facilities were fantastically clean and modern.
We will be back, thanks.

We stayed at Marl Barn on Friday 21st June which happened to be the longest day with clear blue skies and amazing Nocticulent clouds in the huge sky above the campsite.
Marl Barn is set in fantastic countryside with amazing views across to the far fells. I cannot rate this site highly enough, small and quiet with plenty of space for kids and dogs.
Rebekah, the owner is so friendly and made us immediately welcome with no list of dos and don’ts. The toilets and showers were spotless. The price is amazing and makes a change from expensive sites with nowhere near as good facilities.  Why can’t all sites be as good.

We have just returned from a super couple of days in the Forest of Bowland, staying at Marl Barn. The site was in a great position to explore the Trough of Bowland, Stocks Reservoir and Slaidburn.
The toilets and shower block was very clean and well maintained.
Jonathan, Rebekah and Mark were very welcoming and friendly.
A beautiful, relaxing spot with stunning scenery,

We would just like to thank Rebekah and Johnathan for the very warm and friendly welcome when we visited Marl Barn – a big thank you also for the emergency milk!  We had fantastic sunny weather and managed two good days’ walking. The site is very well run, clean and tidy and the showers spot on.  Unfortunately, we had to leave a day early due to illness. We look forward to returning on another occasion.
Many thanks also to Mark for his help with our booking.

Absolutely amazing campsite.

Never been on a campsite more beautiful. There are 360° stunning views of the surrounding countryside a really nice amount of space to pitch your tent. Electric hook up is included also which is great. The hosts were so helpful and lovely too and couldn’t do enough for you. They even brought some lambs out so everyone could feed them milk from the bottle. Really can’t fault this campsite. It’s an absolute gem and want to go back as soon as possible.

A lovely little site very close to the trails at Gisburn.
Flat pitches with electric. Spotless toilets and showers.
We will definitely return

Just moved south today after 7 nights at Marl Barn Farm. A truly beautiful,  peaceful site with owners who are so welcoming and helpful – nothing too much trouble.  The site was remote and tranquil with night skies which have to be seen to be appreciated! We’ve stayed on many 5 van sites over the years but,  for what we wanted in a totally peaceful holiday,  this little gem delivered – and some!  Thanks to Jonathon and Rebekah for making us so welcome.  We WILL be back.

Total darkness at night, stargazing to die for, beautiful scenery and views. What more could you ask for on a CS site ? Back to nature at its best. We come here time after time and it never fails for us. Dont tell everyone or we may not get a pitch !!

Stayed here for 3 nights in September 2015 and we have never slept so well. Amazing peace and quiet, just your usual soothing farmyard and nature sounds. Lots to see in the area and an excellent base for exploring this wonderful part of the country. Excellent hosts. Basic amenities but that is all you need and expect from a CS site. Cannot wait to return.

We are keen cyclists and take our bikes on our campervan wherever we go. We wanted to explore the Bowland Forest and booked on this CS site via the Camping and Caravanning website. What a find. We are self sufficient so enjoy sites with no frills and Marl Barn is perfect in every way. We cycled into Tosside where you can dine like a king for very little money at The Old Vicarage Bistro and Tearooms. Proper old fashioned cooking. The sunrise and sunsets here are wonderful for and if you really want to see and hear what our countryside still has to offer I suggest you visit here as I have a feeling it wont stay a secret for long.
